The Farm
Stoneledge Farm is a 200 acre, certified organic farm located in Greene County, New York in the foothills of the Northern Catskills. The homestead, greenhouses, berry patch and packing barn are located on 50 acres of mostly wooded land supported by a stone ledge running just below the soil surface. The farm fields and main barns are located nearby on an additional 150 acres of prime agricultural land adjacent to the Catskill Creek.
Our Story
Stoneledge Farm has been involved in Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA since 1996. After a meeting sponsored by JustFood to connect farmers and community members in NYC, the farm partnered with Carnegie Hill/ Yorkville CSA.

Pete, Brenna, Carly, Berkley, Peter and Deborah 1996
The entire family was dedicated to the effort. Deborah, Pete and their children Berkley, Carly, Peter and Brenna, worked the farm, harvested, packed and delivered the shares. The dedicated and hard working community partners recruited members, organized CSA sites and distributed the produce.
2010 will be the 15th season delivering CSA shares. Over the years the farm continued to refine their organic farming practices, listened to the CSA members suggestions, experimented with new crops and developed a well balanced variety of seasonal produce for the CSA members.

During this time the farm has grown. Additional farm land has been purchased adjoining the farm. Barns, greenhouses, ponds, have been built and farming equipment purchased. In 2008, Peter Jr. completed his college education and returned to the farm to work full time. Stoneledge Farm now serves 18 CSA locations through out eastern New York, New York City and western Connecticut and supports over 1,400 CSA shares.

2010 Stoneledge Farm Crew
CSA is now well-understood and readily embraced by people dedicated to the well-being of their families, communities and the environment. People are actively supporting regional organic farms through their CSA membership.
At Stoneledge Farm, we are excited about the future of organic farming and the partnership we have between our CSA community and farm.
